Missionaries
It would be good if every Christian could make time to do at least one short term missions trip in their life. Even if you don't leave the country, you might get a better understanding of the plight of humanity. Look for an opportunity to go with a Christian group out of the USA or across American to a region in need (for instance right after a natural catastrophe.
Of course some are called to commit a season or all of their lives to this kind of ministry. We want to come along side these great people through our prayers and financial support when we can. We then become a part of their ministry as they become an extension of ours! We all do Jesus' ministry together.
